About the Project

The research associate will advance the Drexel Wireless Systems Laboratory’s three core themes: experimental wireless platforms, intelligent wireless sensing and communications, and interdisciplinary RF and connected technologies. The role includes developing prototypes, conducting experiments, publishing results, and supporting interdisciplinary collaborations, while also guiding student research and contributing to educational activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct independent and collaborative research within the laboratory’s primary themes
  • Design, develop, and integrate hardware and software platforms for experimental wireless research
  • Mentor undergraduate and graduate students and oversee project teams
  • Develop scholarly outputs such as publications and conference papers
  • Support laboratory‑intensive courses and develop instructional materials
  • Maintain and document laboratory equipment and ensure safety procedures
  • Develop and deliver outreach demonstrations and represent the laboratory externally
  • Perform other research, educational, laboratory, and outreach duties as needed

Required Skills

  • Strong programming experience in Python and at least one additional language such as MATLAB or C++
  • Research experience in wireless communications, RF systems, signal processing, or related fields
  • Analytical, organizational, and technical writing abilities
